Smart irrigation systems implementation projects were prepared for the Lower Çekerek irrigation areas.

Lower Cekerek – Kazankaya Weir and Geldingen Plain Irrigation

Project covers detailed design for 19,000 hectares of piped irrigation (1550 hectares of pumped irrigation) facilities (Weir and other hydraulic structures) in Lower Cekerek basin, which is located in Central Anatolia (Amasya Province) and is a sub-basin of Yeşilırmak River. The system is composed of 4 km long Ortakoy tunnel, Kazankaya diversion weir, open channel main canals, closed pipe irrigation network and pump stations.

• Field works for determination of soil classification, drainage capacity, crop pattern
• Revision of planning studies (Agricultural Economy, Soil Classification, alternative research for transmission of water and irrigation type)
• Topographical and geological surveys
• Detailed design of irrigation and drainage system
• Preparation of bill of quantities and tender documents
