Greater Istanbul Water Supply Project II.Stage-Yeşilçay System

The objective of Yesilçay Project is to supply 145 million m³ of potable water per year to the city of Istanbul and its surrounding area by diverting and treating water from Sungurlu and Göksu rivers in order to ensure sustained economic growth and to maintain hygiene of approximately 7.5 million inhabitants.
