Our new contract in Sri Lanka, “Consultancy Services of Dams Portfolio Risk Assessment, Preparation of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Plans and Emergency Preparedness Plans (EPP) for Identified Dams” has been signed, together in our JV with NFB MÜHENDİSLİK ve MÜŞAVİRLİK A.Ş. and GreenTech.
Funded by the International Development Association (IDA), the project comprises of a huge portfolio of dams in the country.
An emerging topic worldwide, Risk Assessment gains importance day by day, especially for those countries which have not dealt with this issue before, as any potential failure in structures may cause vicious social, financial and even national security problems.
Within the project, first, a Risk Identification Index (RI) Scheme will be created and calibrated. Then the portfolio of dams will be indexed as to be low, medium and high risk. Measures to be taken will be decided thereafter, by the index order of each dam.
