Emergency preparedness plans covering evaluation of possible earthquake damages on 8 dams, which supply 770 m3 potable water per year for Istanbul city and identification of necessary measures to restrain the damages to secure water supply. Dam break analysis, flood hazard and risk mapping on downstream of four dams with dense residential area, is also in the context of the study.
